Thank you for stopping by and hope you're having a great weekend. I'm actually not feeling well at the moment but wanted to share this colour challenge entry with you that I made last week. I am entering this card to Colour Inkspiration #CI09 and we are using the board below for inspirations as well as the Design Teams creations.
I also used Black, Gold and Sahara Sand for my card below
This project started off quite differently, with the topper measuring 9.5cm x 13.8cm but I only stamped the flourish from Wood Words in the middle. It wasn't working as there was too much space to darken so I decided to use the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and use as a topper.
To get this image I started with Whisper White card
Sponge Pool Party at the centre of the card
Marker to Stamp technique for the flowers with Cherry Cobbler
Use Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the image and further stamping on top
Use Sahara Sand then take off the ink from the flowers recently coloured with Cherry Cobbler using Aqua Painters or Blender Pens before stamping on top of previous image
Use Versamark, stamp on top again and use Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder
Sponge Dapper Denim on the edges then colour the leaves and buds
Use Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad to highlight the open/un-embossed flowers
I think I sponged black ink on the edges as well and the outer flower stamp is from Jar of Love
The topper reminded me of a painting which made me use a simple Cherry Cobbler layer with 3 pieces of Linen Thread
As I mentioned earlier, I used the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies to frame the topper in gold, adhering it with Dimensionals for added interest.
Wood Words does have 8 sentiments in the set but I decided not to put any at the front so it doesn't detract the focus from the image. I can always customise the inside for any occasion.
Wood Words will be available from June 1st when the new Stampin' Up! catalogue launches. If you live in the UK and would love a copy, contact us today.
I created 2 more cards today using the colours above from Colour Inkspiration and will share them soon. Check out the other entries and Design Team projects by joining the Facebook group HERE.
Thanks again for stopping by today. Until next time, BYEEEEE
