Hi All
Thanks for stopping by
Today we wanted to share the cards we made in class today and hopefully inspire you to try something like this yourself.
The technique we've done today was the Caught in Crystal technique. This technique has been something we've seen 2 of our favourite 'celebrity' crafters do and we have been wanting to teach in class for a while now. So I'm calling it Stampin' Up! meets Sue Wilson & Sheena Douglas as these two amazing crafters have inspired us to try it.
Firstly we started with an A5 piece of accertate and coated it with floor polish (Sheena Style) then added drops of Stampin' Up! re inkers and mix it around to blend. Be careful not to over work the colours as you don't want to end up with a muddy mix. Once you are happy with the mix of colours, sprinkle it with some mica powder or glitter. Both if your feeling brave like Andrea did in our class.
Now get some white tissue paper or plain kitchen roll and screw it up. Open it up and place it over the floor polish mix making sure it's all covered and no dry bits of paper are visible.
Now it's a waiting game, this needs plenty of time to dry and we would recommend at least 24hours. As this is a technique which requires drying time, it might be worth doing several sheets in one go, so you have some on hand for when you need it.
When its dry, trim the excess paper from the edges and do with it as you please.
You can see from the pictures below what we designed for our ladies to create in class today using their Caught in Crystal masterpieces.
Use the Butterfly thinlit for the corners before adding glitter on double-sided adhesive sheet.

Use the off-cut from the previous card for the topper and decorate with flowers.
Corner punch, pearls and a sentiment with a bit of sponging and 2 scored lines.
We hope we have inspired you to give this technique a try and if you have any questions please drop us a message or leave a comment bellow.
