Stampin' with Awesomely Artistic

Hi All

Today I am sharing a tag on a card using the Awesomely Artistic stamp set. I have combined a couple of challenges for inspiration as we have so many crafty products that sometimes it can be too overwhelming so it's great to look at challenges to get started.

Firstly, I used the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches #177. I also looked at Global Design Project GDP#040 - Case The Designer, for the floral inspiration. The final element came from Can You Case It? CYCI#124, use watercolour and add a sentiment.

I liked how the 2016-2018 In Colours worked together with previous projects so I used them here again, applied with the Aqua Painters before adding the sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set.

Barry has recently been playing with texture paste and I used the scraps with the Pansy Punch. Some of the crackles came off the edges but I quite like the effect it has given the flower after colouring it with Emerald Envy.

Hope you like the card and thanks for stopping by. Check out the challenge blogs that I am entering this card to and join in the fun.

  6. I really like the bold pop of color that the tag provides, and the more subtle shading behind that awesome textured flower. The ribbon and the silver cording play up the rhinestone's sparkle. Thanks for sharing your lovely card with us at CC&S!

  12. That's an awesome card Jay. I'm trying to turn a blind eye to that gorgeous flower because I don't have any texture paste (yet) and I'm already overwhelmed with all of the goodies that I got last week... Thanks for joining us again at CAS Colours & Sketches. Liz x
