Hi Everyone
Thanks for stopping by and welcome to another project using the NEW Daisy Delight stamp set and colours from Colour Inkspiration #CI09. I couldn't help myself to create a 3rd card as the inspiration came to me whilst still doing the 2nd one!
This time I wanted to use more of the stamp set in a different way than intended. I have also used Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Black ink to complete this dreamy scene:
Thanks for stopping by and welcome to another project using the NEW Daisy Delight stamp set and colours from Colour Inkspiration #CI09. I couldn't help myself to create a 3rd card as the inspiration came to me whilst still doing the 2nd one!
This time I wanted to use more of the stamp set in a different way than intended. I have also used Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Black ink to complete this dreamy scene:
Card base 10.5cm x 14.8cm
Black mat 10cm x 14.3cm
Whisper White card layer 9.5cm x 13.8cm
Apply Pool Party on the top 3/4 of the Whisper White card using Sponge Brayers
Apply Sahara Sand on the bottom 1/3 of the card with Stamping Sponges
Stamp the stalks in Crumb Cake randomly at the bottom, up to 3rd Generation
Stamp the stalk ends in Cherry Cobbler, matching the opacity of the stalks
Stamp the 'hanging vines' in Dapper Denim and Crumb Cake
Use Cherry Cobbler for the buds, again matching the opacity of the 'hanging vines'
Use copy paper to mask certain areas and apply Pool Party and Dapper Denim to create the streaks of light and horizon
Add Memento Black around the edges using Stamping Sponges
Stamp the 'Thank You' sentiment and add the Jewels to finish

This looks awesome...At first glance I thought they were lights..had to get a closer look to see that they are the Daisy stems and flower buds. I lvoe the overall effect you have created Jay. A great mood style card with an awesome technique and different use of stamps. Perfect for a class xx
ReplyDeleteYou sure opened my eyes. I haven't gotten my yet, so I hadn't seen the whole stamp set. But, even in my best dreams would I come up with something like this. Yes, you have inspired me. #1 to sponge more, #2 to really look at a stamp set or dies and think about "other" things I can do with them. I will start look for other ways o use all my stamps and dies now. Is there a black card stock panel behind this? So BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It had to have the full on shout for this card. Sorry if I hurt your ears. LOL! The devil's in me today. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful unique way to use this set. Thanks for sharing!
