Mitosu Stampin' Hooray It's Your Day On Flip It Card

Hi All

I wanted to share with you today this Flip It card I made using Hooray It's Your Day stamp set.

I cut the card base and design paper (from Sale-A-Bration catalogue) using ScanNCut. I also cut a smaller piece of white paper for the top layer.

For the front image, I inked the edges of the top layer using a sponge and decorated with the balloons and stars using 2nd generation stamping technique then stamped the sentiments.

For the back, I inked through the sun ray stencil from Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit. I cut a circle from the same paper and used the number 4 sticker from the same card kit. You can personalise this by adding the name of the recipient above 'Birthday Boy'.

The card width is slightly smaller than A6 so I need to redo the template but other than that I'm really pleased with it.

I am also entering this card to the following challenges:

Mitosu Crafts Stampin' Flower Patch

Hi All

Here is a simple card I made using the Stamping Up! Flower Patch stamp set. I have incorporated the stamp set with the Lyra Gemini die from Sue Wilson.
The flowers and leaves have been arranged onto the red card and layered using the dimensional pads from Stamping Up! to give it some depth and interest.
For extra interest I have stamped the sentiment using versamark and embossed with a red embossing powder.

Mitosu Crafts Stampin' Flower Patch with Flower Fair Framelits Dies

Hi All

I wanted to share what I made with the topper I posted on Facebook using the Flower Patch stamps set and the Flower Fair framelits dies. The topper came about after seeing Anna Marie's demo at Ally Pally and I wanted to put my stampin' spin on it using only Stampin' Up! products.

It's an A6 card and thanks to Queen Pip for the mat & layer's dimensions which I used for this (14.9cm x 10cm & 14.4cm x 9.5cm).

I stamped the flowers and leaves using the 2014-2016 In Colours Stampin' Pads and die cut with our Big Shot. I moulded the flowers using a piercing tool & mat before arranging the smaller flowers on top of the largest flower with glue.

Tip: snip up to the stamped image of the centre flower to help shape it better.

I also used a bit of gauze to add a bit of texture. I'm sure everyone's got some in their first aid kit at home - ours permanently lives in our flower making box! If not, use a bit of baker's twine tied in a knot or a bow.

For the mat, I used our brayer to colour coordinate with the flowers; so if you don't have matching card stock, use ink pads with daubers or sponges, or write markers to colour the edges. I've only used our brayer twice and it's good that the middle is hidden. I will be practising using our brayer by making more mats like this :)

For the layer, I stamped the sentiment before embossing the card with the trellis embossing folder (which came with the Big Shot Starter Kit). I used dimensional pads to mat & layer, then used glue to stick the topper.

I was also cutting around the flower die cuts and made a butterfly! I'm sure most will have a butterfly  punch or a die already but I wanted to see what else I could do with what I had and quite pleased with the result.

I am also entering the card to the following challenges:

Mitosu Stampin' Hooray It's Your Day - Birthday Card

Afternoon all

Here is another card I have done using the Hooray It's Your Day & the Sheltering Tree stamp sets from Stampin' Up!

It's a very simple card and I've only used the brush stoke stamp from the Sheltering Tree set in several colours. I've stamped doing a first and second generation stamp technique. The sentiment is just stamped in black ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder to add a bit of texture. I've finished the card off with a mat & layer lost lagoon card stock.

If you have any questions or would like to purchase any of the products used please click the links to my shop below or you can contact me directly.

Mitosu Stampin' Painted Petals and Flower Patch Stamp Sets

Hi all

Thank you for taking the time to stop by our new Mitosu Stampin Up! blog. We have both been busy playing with our new stamp sets and working on getting this blog up and running. So now it's time to share a couple of our creations.

The Painted Petals stamp set is a 2 stamp technique where I stamped the leaves first followed by the leaves once I had them in place. I haven't used it on the project but if anyone has problems lining the stamps up i would recommend you use the Stampin Up! Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, which is a great tool for perfect stamp placement especially for the clear mounted stamps.

For the above card I have used the Flower Patch stamp set and Flower Fair Framelits Dies which are available in a bundle or separately. I've only cut a portion of the die to create the flower hanging off the edge and then stamped the matching stamp in its place. I've also die cut some extra flowers on copy paper to use as a mask (the masking technique). This allows me to stamp the leaves without touching the flowers. It also makes it look as if they are behind the flowers. The sentiment has been stamped and attached using dimensional foam pads.

I hope you like our creations, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Until next time

Mitosu Crafts Joining Stampin' Up! - Hooray

Hooray! We have joined to be Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrators :)

We are now part of the Royal Stampers with Queen Pip as our upline. We met the lovely, friendly and very helpful Q.P. at the Make It Craft Show in Farnborough. We loved the Stampin' Up products; designs, colour coordinations and how they make paper crafting easy yet stylish. So we thought, why not join and become demonstrators? We can use the products and benefit from the great deals.

We're very excited with the products and hopefully you will be too. It was hard making our first order  to make up our Starter Kit as there were a lot we wanted but somehow managed to condense our list to the products below.

We received our Starter Kit and have started playing around with them - so we'll share our creations soon.

Until then, check out the products online, HERE. The pdf catalogues are just on the left side bar too.

If you love great deals, check out the Clearance Rack - up to 80% off, only whilst stock lasts though.

There's also the Weekly Deals, which changes every Wednesday, so don't hesitate - buy it when you see it :)

We look forward to hearing from you. Please leave a comment or contact us on

Thanks
