Hi Everyone
Thanks for hopping along with us today and THANK YOU to all that voted for my project at Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights in March. This is my 2nd time in the Top 10 and I get to add another button on our blog, all thanks to you!
Your chosen Top 10 winners and Kylie Bertucci are highlighting All Things Thanks stamp set and have created amazing projects for you to enjoy. Please check out the full list of the talented crafters and hop along each one.
I didn't really know where to start with mine, I had so many ideas I wanted to try. Then I remembered that I had a spare succulent Barry made for our Mother's Day terrarium gift (that you can see HERE), so I made another little gift with it:
After finishing the video, it looked like it was lacking something so I added the sentiment to coincide with this blog hop.
The little gift above became the inspiration for my following projects, using All Things Thanks with the Oh So Succulent Bundle.
I used the matching framelits dies to help create depth and white embossed the sentiments on black card to make them pop.
Whisper White card layer 9.5cm x 13.8cm
Stamp the lines from Playful Backgrounds using the 2nd generation technique using Crumb Cake on the left side.
Stamp the biggest succulent outline in Melon Mambo then stamp a 2nd generation of the inner stamp in the same colour.
Die cut the succulent and take out the stamped image.
Stamp around the die cut using Perfect Plum, Tempting Turquoise, Pear Pizzazz and Pumpkin Pie.
Add the Natural Gold Trim ribbon and place the white embossed sentiment on top.
Mount on Kraft Card base
Whisper White layer 9.5cm x 13.8cm
Stick Tear & Tape 1/3 up from the bottom, (leaving the non-sticky top layer in tact) and mask the rest of the card
Stamp the lines from Playful Backgrounds using 2nd generation technique using Smoky Slate ink
Use the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies for the sentiment
Trace around the black circular card lightly to guide you where to stamp your images
Use the same technique as the previous card to build up the images behind the sentiment
Remove the top layer of the Tear & Tape and adhere the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals
Mount on Kraft Card base

Wow Jay, all gorgeous projects. I love the mix of colours in the succulent images ... and your use of the little rectangular ribbon element as a border is very very effective. xx Cheryll
ReplyDeleteJay, these projects are so beautiful! I love the black and white sentiment on top of the rainbow of flowers; it's so bold! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteJay ~ Beautiful cards! The distressed bit along the side/across the middle of the cards was a perfect offset to your lovely succulents. And I love that you showed how you get a "brand new" card by changing the orientation.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! I can see why you are continuing to be a top ten! Love the colors on the card, so vibrant!
ReplyDeleteWow Jay you've done it again! Absolutely beautiful project :D
