Hi Everyone
Thanks for stopping by today. I am sharing this easel card that I made recently. This fold was inspired by a compact mirror I saw in an Amsterdam tourist shop last week and the Global Design Project sketch challenge #GDP082
I used the Blooms & Wishes Photopolymer Stamps with the co-ordinating Design Series Paper (DSP) Blooms & Bliss. I find it a challenge to use DSP in my projects, yet we still buy them as we love the designs! Sara from Crafty Little Minx challenged me to use more DSP and immediately thought of Kylie Bertucci's #loveitchopit
Mint Macaron card base 14.8cm x 21cm
score length ways at 14.8cm & 17.9cm
Blooms & Bliss DSP 14.8cm x 14.8cm
cut 0.6cm and adhere at the bottom to give more weight
I used the colours from the DSP pack to stamp with for the topper and writing area of the card. When I do this fold again, I would change the 2nd score line so the back support would be taller.
As I mentioned before this is also inspired by #GDP082 which I used for the card front design. What I love about this fold, is that it showcases both sides of the DSP!

Gorgeous card! Love the colors! TFS!
ReplyDeleteWow, we love your take on the Easel Card Jay, and how the front of the card takes on the sketch challenge this week. The contrasting sponging on the DSP is beautiful, as is the collage of little elements surrounding the greeting. So very pretty. We love having you play along with us each week here at the Global Design Project.
ReplyDeleteWow! I think that's a seriously clever easel! I've never seen it made that way before and it makes so much sense! I'm going to have to give your design a try! Stunning card too - but if it's one of yours, that's a given!!
