 You are currently at Mitosu Crafts with me Jay Soriano from the UK and I am very grateful to everyone that voted last month for my New Home Gift Box / Decor which enabled me to join the hop today

The theme is 'Changes' and keeping to my original project, I decided to create a card this time using products from the Seasonal Catalogue to show that they can be used all year round

I started with the shaving foam background panel using Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide. I then stamped the splatter design from Awesomely Artistic set at the bottom and sides of the panel with Tranquil Tide

I die cut the trees from Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies on Garden Green cardstock and used a dauber to highlight the edges with Whisper White Craft Ink. Whilst the ink was still wet, I added Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder on some areas and heat embossed

The house and small trees are from Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies and was die cut on Whisper White with Sahara Sand backing

I added Wood Textures DSP and Copper Trim before adhering with dimensionals. I also created a bow separately with the Copper Trim and Silver Ribbon

Finally, I used Brushwork Alphabet for the sentiment which was gold embossed on Vellum

Marbled Balloons for CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge

Hi All

I want to share a card I recently made for my sister's boyfriend using a marbled card from last month's shaving foam technique class.

The inspiration came from CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #190 combined with the colouring technique I used for CC&S#188

 

I used the outline balloon stamps from the Balloon Celebration set to create a couple of masks before stamping on the marbled card. I created more depth by using the Aqua Painters to add shadows before colouring the background with Island Indigo marker and drawing the strings using white pigment pen. I then heat embossed the stars randomly in gold as well as adding shimmer on the balloons with a glitter brush pen.

I still have a few of these marbled cards and will share more makes once I think of other ways of using them.

CAS Colours & Sketches #188

Hi All

Here is my card for my last challenge as Guest Designer at CAS Colours & Sketches.

I worked on a print from our recent Shaving Foam technique class with the Falling Flowers set.

Blackened the background with Stampin' Marker before heat embossing in gold. Layered on kraft card using the Layering Ovals.

For the sketch I added glitter with double sided tape and the sentiment is from the Wetlands set.

Shaving Foam Technique - Class Projects

 Hi All

We had great fun at our recent card making class in Basingstoke using the Shaving Foam technique to create marbled background. It's quick and easy but can be messy. 

The attendees re-created the 2 cards below and took home numerous amounts of prints ready for future projects.

We also made a few samples of other projects we made using the marbled backgrounds:
