Stampin' Up! Creative Challenge #punchitup

Hi All

This week is passing by very quickly! I have been busy with work and crafting as usual. I am sharing with you today some flower makes using punches.

Stampin' Up! set a creative challenge for demonstrators back in May to 'create a project using at least two of the four punches' -

We have Pansy Punch and Fun Flower so I started playing around with those.

The flower below was created by shaping the petals for each layer with tweezers or scissor edge, cutting sections to decrease petals and add height. I also used Petite Petals punch for the inner part to finish the flower.

Then I wanted to see what other flower shapes I can get by reinserting the petals at certain points of the punch (either from the side or through the middle).

top-left: original punched shape

I continued playing, using the same punches on the same flowers.....

.....and with Petite Petals.....

(I have used Petite Petals as the starting flower but will post the pics soon)

What do you think of these new flowers? You can build up a flower using the same layers...

.....or change it up! The possibilities are endless and I can't wait to use all of them!

Thank you for looking and happy crafting.

Jay

Free Download - Stamp Your Own Colour Chart

Hi All

I am sharing this chart I made as it has helped Barry and I keep track of what current colours we have or need as well as help colour coordinate projects.

The colour collections are arranged in order of the rainbow, lightest to dark and with the In-Colours at the bottom of the page.

Hope this helps you too, happy stamping.

Stampin' With Watercolour Wings

Hi All

Hope you had a lovely weekend. Here's a card I made for a friend last week using the Watercolour Wings.

This was my first card using this stamp set but I see myself using this a lot in future projects. The butterflies comes in 2 different sizes and with the 2 stamp technique, you can create a lot of different butterflies.

After stamping the butterfly, I wrapped the gold thread around my fingers 3 times, pinched in the middle before adhering with tombow.

I cut the medium sized butterfly die in vellum and coloured the edges with Daffodil Delight and Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write Markers. I curled the wings and stuck on top of the gold thread.

I stamped the dotted image and used it to guide where I put the sentiment, which is from the Butterfly Basics set.

For the mat, I sponged the edges of a white cardstock with Elegant Eggplant to coordinate with the Butterfly.

You can check out all of the Stampin' Up! products I have used below which can be purchased from our online shop.

I am also entering this card to the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion Challenges - 267 Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - 111 Anything Goes
Allsorts Challenge Blog - 316 Use A Stamp

Stampin' Honeycomb Hello & Hardwood For Father's Day

Hi All

Here's my Father's Day card using the Honeycomb Hello & Hardwood stamps with the Hexagon Hive thinlits.

I stamped the Hardwood on white copy paper and turned it over for a more subtle effect. I then die cut a card twice, flipping it over on the second time to cut through more of the hexagon centre. After colouring the edges, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to raise the die cut from the cardstock.

I stamped 'You're The Best' sentiment and the heart from Honeycomb Hello on the hexagon off cuts, colouring the edges before adhering. For extra emphasis on the heart I used the dimensionals again.

The Father's Day sentiment is from Crazy About You, which is bigger than the off cuts, so I used the thinlits on a scrap card and cut around to get a bigger hexagon. I then joined the 2 hexagons together and stamped across both, using another dimensional to raise the right one.

I am entering this card to the following challenges:
Cardz 4 Guyz - 75 Father's Day
Creative Moments - 70 Anything Goes / Man In Your Life / Father's Day

Stampin' Build A Birthday For Our Class

Hi all

Hope you have had a lovely weekend.

Last week was a busy week for us as we we had our first Stampin' Up! Class on Saturday 6 June. Everything went well and we are both happy with how it went.

A massive thank you to the ladies who came along to support us. I hope you enjoyed yourselves.

We just need to get some more interest in our little group. So if anyone is interested in joining us then please contact us for some more details. It will be a fun time and a chance for you to meet other people interested in crafting and off course I'm sure there will be biscuits or cake.

We wanted to show off the new Build A Birthday stamp set from the new catalogue and an easy box made using the Gift Box Punch Board. Both cards and box have been inked using the 2014-2016 & 2015-2017 In Colours Ink pads and card stock as well as whisper white card stock.

We hope you like what we planned.

If you like any of these products you can purchase them via our shop link bellow.
