Hi Everyone
Thank you for stopping by and welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop hosted by Sara Levin. You are currently at Mitosu Crafts with me Jay Soriano from Hampshire, UK. You may have arrived here from Happy Stampin' by Janneke de Jong or started here. You will find the full list of blogs at the end of this post to check your progress along the hop
I'm so excited to have been invited by Sara to take part on this hop with the theme of Painted Harvest from the new seasonal catalogue. It is part of the Painted Autumn Suite on page 48 in the Autumn / Winter Catalogue and can be ordered with the Leaf Punch as a Bundle saving yourself 10%
When we first got this set, I saw eyes from the sunflower stamps and created this A5 size card which inspired the 2 projects I am sharing with you today
(UPDATE: you can find a video tutorial of another A5 owl project HERE)
I really like the idea of creating something different and showing versatility for this stamp set. After playing around and refining the above design I created this A6 party invitation
Black Cardstock 14.9cm x 21cm
Whisper White 14.4cm x 9cm
Gold Glimmer Paper 2.5cm x 4cm
Inks: Memento Black, Archival Basic Gray, Smoky Slate & Crumb Cake
Embellishments: Gold Faceted Gems, Copper Trim, Gold Ribbon, Gold Natural Trim, Basic Black Baker's Twine
It's easier than it looks, starting from the Black Memento eyes and working outwards. I used 2nd Generation Stamping Technique with Crumb Cake ink for the outer parts. I then used the detailed leaf stamp for defined lines. Masked the end of 'gather together' sentiment then add the ribbons and gems
I wanted to take it a little further for my 2nd project and thought what would you need for a Halloween party?! Yep, a mask!!!
I have used a bit more products than just the Painted Harvest Stamp Set and Leaf Punch for this mask but it was so much fun creating it
The stamping were the same as before then adding the acorn stamp around the scalloped circle. I then stamped the leaves on Vellum but leaving some plain to create more shading. The handle is made of rolled copy paper and I also just had to add the cute black cat as an added charm using shrink plastic
