Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts in the UK with me Jay Soriano. It's Thursday and I am back with the OSAT Design Team for our blog hop with the theme of Don't Go Breakin' My Heart using Stampin' Up! products
For my projects I am sharing today, I created a card and a matching jewellery box using the Heart Happiness stamp set from the 2018 Spring/Summer Occasions Catalogue
The card front was designed for our recent class and is fairly simple but very effective! You may have seen a sneak peek of it from our Instagram or Facebook page. I worked on the inside of the card a little more, adding a sentiment from All Things Thanks stamp set
I then used a couple more stamps from the Heart Happiness set; the heart outline, leaves and small flower with leaves. As it's a photopolymer set, it was easy to build up a bigger design with the smaller images. These were also coloured with Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Combo Pack and Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin' Blends like the image at the card front
For my co-ordinating project, I used the flower with leaves stamp and the same colourways to create a small jewellery box which measures 2 1/2" x 1 3/8" x 2 1/2" so it can fit a bracelet, necklace or even a ring would look great inside with a bit more padding. I first saw this box on Pinterest without any measurements or tutorials so I decided to work out how to make one
Real Red Cardstock 7 3/4" x 7 3/4"
score at 3 7/8" & 6 3/8", mark at 6 7/8" then turn 90˚
mark at 7/8", score at 1 3/8" & 3 7/8" then turn 90˚
mark at 2 3/4" & 3 3/8", score at 5 1/4" (down to the 2nd horizontal score line only)
Turn 90˚, score at 2 1/2" (down to the 2nd horizontal score line only)
mark at 3 3/7" & 5"
Whisper White Cardstock 7 3/8" x 7 3/8"
score at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 4 7/8" & 6 1/8"
turn 90˚ and score at the same measurements as above
Real Red Insert from off cut 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
score at 1/2" & 2 3/4"
turn 90˚ and score at the same measurements as above
