OnStage 2018 - Lollipop & Tall Mini Treat Holder Swaps

Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts. We had a fabulous weekend with our crafty family, celebrating the 30th Birthday of Stampin' Up!

The OnStage 2018 local event was held at The Vox conference centre in Birmingham where we got our early copy of the upcoming 2019 Spring/Summer Catalogue. We also received new stamp sets via prize patrols and played with new products! The most fun of all was seeing friends and swapping handmade projects to inspire one another. Thanks so much to everyone that swapped with us

We created 4 different swaps, all of which are 3D items - treat holders and table gift ideas. Videos and details of 2 of them are below

The first one is a Lollipop Treat Holder using the Envelope Punch Board. This is so quick and easy to do with not much cardstock or DSP needed. It's tiny and you can make 4 from 1 x A4 cardstock, so great for batch making and using up DSP offcuts

Check out the video tutorial below

Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Rustic

Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It's Jay Soriano here sharing my project for  the Creating Kindness blog hop with a Rustic theme. Our special guest designer this hop is Caroline Van Der Straatan of Caro's Kaartjes from The Netherlands

You may have arrived here from Sense of Whimsy by Cheryll Miller or started here, you will find all the blog links at the end of the post so be sure to check out all the projects by the design team

I went for a shabby chic look for my card idea with the Blended Seasons Stamp Set & Stitched Season Framelits Bundle (which is only available in August)

I used the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and coordinating Cardstock Pack as a starting point  to inspire the colours of the flowers

These flowers were stamped on Whisper White card in Coastal Cabana ink and coloured with Coastal Cabana, Balmy Blue and Crushed Curry from the new Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 pack. I spread the colours by going over the flowers quickly with the Aqua Painters, following the each petal directions

The centre were dotted with Fine Tip Glue to add a bit of shine and texture

The sentiment comes from 2 stamps in the set and were stamped in Soft Suede. Both the flowers and sentiment were fussy cut using the very sharp Paper Snips as well as distressing the edges of the Mossy Meadow matt and DSP layer

I stamped the leaves on the DSP and added the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon before adhering the papers on the cardbase

I die cut a few of the flourishes in Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla and Whisper White cardstock. Using the 3 flowers as a guide, I arranged the flourishes along the left side of the card before finally adhering the flowers

I added 3 dots of Fine Tip Glue around the project and tucked the rolled up Linen Thread under the flowers to finish the card

I am also entering this card to the following challenges:

Papercraft Business Challenge #9 August - Anything Goes

Crafting From The Heart #217 - Anything Goes

Creative Fingers Challenge #150 - Anything Goes

Thanks again for hopping along with the Creating Kindness Design Team. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
