Stampin' with Picture Perfect Bird

Hi All

Just wanted to share this card I created using the sketch from CC&S#182 with the bird stamp from Picture Perfect set.

The Picture Perfect stamp set consists of 4 images that uses the 2 Step Stamping technique which creates the photo realistic result. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure each layer aligns perfectly.

Stamped on Very Vanilla card, fussy cut and mounted on Mint Macaron using the Layering Circles die. The colours used for the bird are, Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo and Crumb Cake. I then used Real Red & Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Markers and a white pigment pen to add more colour to the body and eyes before coating most of the image with Gold Wink of Stella.

I used one of the leaf die from Botanical Builder, coloured with Garden Green, Old Olive, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Markers and Wink of Stella before folding over and sticking wire on the middle for extra support. The small flower die is also from the Botanical Builder set, coloured with Tempting Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie.

I am entering this card to the following challenges:
Glitter 'n' Sparkle #197 - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion #321 - Anything Goes

Hope you like the card and thank you for stopping by

Jay

  6. Wow. Your tropical flowers (bird of paradise?) are a fantastic idea and fabulously executed. The bird is great too, but I can't pull my eyes off the flowers for long enough to admire it properly! Thanks for joining us at CAS Colours & Sketches again this week. Liz x
