By The Bay FREE Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set - Quick Card Idea

Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts. It's Jay here with a quick and easy card idea using the FREE Sale-A-Bration Cling Mount stamp set By The Bay

I wanted to add colour to the design quickly without being too precise so I decided to use the sponging and masking technique

Creating a night scene with this beautiful design makes it forgiving if you make a mistake. You can go straight onto your project with the inked sponge for added texture and still create something wonderful

For the mask, I stamped on a sticky note and fussy cut with the snips. Ensure you cut off the lines so your project image won't have a halo once you finished sponging unless of course you like that look :)

This card idea is easy to recreate once you have a mask so it's ideal for quick cards and beginners. Check out the video tutorial below to see the process of creating this card

Creating Kindness Blog Hop ~ Colour

Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It's Jay Soriano here sharing my project for the Creating Kindness blog hop with our special Guest Designer Liz Yuille of Old Stables Crafts and our new member Lou Kitzelman

Our theme this month is Colour and how it impacts our style. I love using bright colours for my projects and the colours I have chosen for my card was inspired by a video game I play most days on my phone

I also wanted to use the Waterfront Stamp set from the Spring/Summer Occasions Catalogue for my project as I have not done a video tutorial with it before. I have used Melon Mambo and Perfect Plum to create a Waterfront scene on a previous project which turned out well (HERE) so I thought to try it with the added Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise colours

The result is even more beautiful than I could've imagined as the blues added more depth to the card. I created this landscape scene by sponging and blending inks together. I used scrap paper as a mask to create the straight lines on the projects and the Chalk Marker for the highlights. I also used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for the reflection of the mountains on the water
