Kylie Bertucci's International Stampin' Up! Blog Highlights September 2017

Thank you for stopping by. It's Jay here and I am sharing the card I am entering for Kylie Bertucci's International Stampin' Up! Blog Highlights. The Top 10 winners, voted by you will then participate on a Blog Hop with Kylie next month

The theme for this month is Sympathy; to create a project to let family or friends know that you are thinking of them during their difficult time. Here is my card using the flower stamp from Butterfly Basics Photopolymer set and it would be great if you can take time to vote for my project, PHOTO #10 at http://bit.ly/SeptemberHighlightsVoteforMe

Sahara Sand Cardbase 10.5cm x 29.7cm
Basic Gray Layer 9.5cm x 13.9cm
Whisper White 6.5cm x 11cm
Stampin' Markers: Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz & Old Olive
Classic Stampin' Ink Pads: Dapper Denim & Soft Sky



The image was stamped on Whisper White card with Tuxedo Black then Clear Embossed before colouring using Stampin' Markers & Blender Pen. I then did the sponging, creating a halo around the image by applying darker inks around the edges

The aperture on Basic Gray card was created using the Everyday Label Punch from the seasonal catalogue. Normally the punched area measures 3.8cm x 6.1cm but I extended it to 5cm x 10cm for all flowers to be seen

It was looking a bit bare so I used the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape before adhering the Basic Gray card with Stamping Dimensionals

For extra texture I also added the Copper Trim and Gold Metallic Thread embellishments. The sentiment from Hopeful Thoughts Set was stamped in Tuxedo Black and then raised with Stamping Dimensionals

#GDP078 Sketch Challenge with Beautiful You

Hi Everyone

Barry here and thank you for stopping by today. I'm so proud of Jay for being chosen as one of the winners on the Colour Challenge last week (check out his project here - http://bit.ly/2ntSSgs). I had fun playing along the Global Design Project the previous week and thought to enter again for the Sketch Challenge #GDP078 this week.

Here is my card inspired by the sketch above:

I like this layout and already had a design in mind. I altered one of our recent class project using the Beautiful You stamp and the Sale-A-Bration FREE Glimmer Paper. 

The lady was coloured with Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron using Clear Wink of Stella.

Stampin' with Picture Perfect for Challenges

Hi All

Just wanted to share a card I am entering to the Global Design Project #GDP044 - Case The Designer and CAS Colours & Sketches #181 Colour Challenge

I created a floral card with the sentiment customised from the Crazy About You set. I have CASEd the layout, gold details and splatter effects from Steffi Helmschrott's card with the colours from CC&S

Stampin' the flower from Picture Perfect set on Very Vanilla card, I used 2nd generation technique to achieve 2 shades of the Elegant Eggplant, Soft Suede for the shadows and gold glitter to the highlights.

The flourish is from Hopeful Thoughts set, stamped with Cucumber Crush and the splatter effect is from Awesomely Artistic set stamped with Soft Suede. I added extra glitter dots on the card base and Gold Wink of Stella.

I felt that the background was too much so I used Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad to help tone it back down which worked great.
