One of my retiring favourite stamp set is the Birthday Blossoms and the co-ordinating Pansy Punch so I created this emboss resist card using both these products

Stamped on Whisper White cardstock with the help of the Stamparatus to create the border then white embossed. I then use the Aqua Painter with the retiring Rose Red ink to colour the floral border. I coloured the white embossed large flowers this way too before using the Pansy Punch

The Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon was added and decorated with Gold Ribbon, Silver Mini Sequin Trim and Whisper White Sheer Ribbon. The Gold Trim was curled on a stick then heat set with the Heat Tool to keep it's shape

The square topper from the Stitched Shapes Framelits was also white embossed with the leaf design before heat embossing the sentiment on black card and fussy cut

To add more metallic elements, I used the Gold Glitter Flakes which were adhered with the Fine-Tip Glue

Projects from our Card Making Class in Basingstoke

Hi Everyone

Thank you for stopping by. We had our first evening class at the beginning of August and we just wanted to share the photos of the projects we designed using Marbled Background, Birthday Blossoms and Carols of Christmas Stamp Sets

For the first card we heat embossed White Stampin' Powder then worked on a craft sheet to sponge Island Indigo and Berry Burst to colour the background. Sponging this project is great for beginners as it doesn't need to be neat or blended well

Other products used:

Classic Label Punch

Sweet Cupcake Sentiment

For the 2nd project, we then did a bit of smooshing technique with the left over inks on the craft sheet by spritzing water and then laying watercolour card on top. We love this technique as you can achieve different backgrounds easily and quickly

TIP: You can make the colours more intense by adding more ink or spritzing less water

For our final card, we used Carols of Christmas with the matching Card Front Builder Dies. The Marbled Background was stamped using Old Olive ink before die cutting. We did alter the measurement on the night as the card we used below was slightly taller than the stamp which left white lines on the top and bottom of the topper
