OSAT Blog Hop ~ Sale-A-Brate The Occasion

Welcome to Mitosu Crafts in the UK with me Jay Soriano and thanks for stopping by for the One Stamp At A Time (OSAT) Blog Hop

I am honoured to be part of the OSAT Design Team this year with talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world. The hops will go live every 2nd Thursday of the month with different themes and we hope to inspire you with a card and a co-ordinating item using current Stampin' Up! products

The theme for our first hop is Sale-A-Brate The Occassion. For my projects, I used a mixture of products from the 2018 Spring/Summer Occasions Catalogue, Sale-A-Bration Brochure and the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue

The card I am sharing is one I designed which Barry & I gave to our Cardmaking and Papercraft class attendees this week

I used a flower design from the new Beautiful Day stamp set for the topper. This was stamped in Tuxedo Black on Pink Pirouette card and coloured with Stampin' Blends before fussy cutting

The Blends I used were Light Calypso Coral, Dark Calypso Coral, Light Old Olive, Light Bermuda Bay and Dark Pool Party

The card mat is Sweet Sugarplum stamped with the circle design from the same stamp set in Pool Party

I added a strip of Tutti-Frutti DSP and the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon before adhering onto the cardbase

The Gold Glitter Flakes were sprinkled on the flower centre using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and randomly on the card mat

To finish the card, I used a sentiment from Thankful Thoughts and punched with the Classic Label

For my 2nd project, I used the same elements from the card to create a Mini Treat Shaker Bag! 

I die cut the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits on Sweet Sugarplum card and stamped the circle design on the front in Pool Party

I used my mini sewing machine to stitch Vellum on the card, adding the Gold Glitter Flakes and Pink Pirouette hearts (die cut from the same thinlits set) before finishing the stitching around the Vellum

I wanted more contrast on the flower so I used Light Pink Pirouette as my 3rd Stampin' Blends to colour with

I die cut the 'enjoy' sentiment in Pink Pirouette and Gold Glimmer paper which were off set when adhered on the flower and Tutti-Frutti DSP. The Gold Faceted Gem finished the treat bag front

The Mini Treat Shaker Bag can be used to give vouchers or gift cards which can be stuck on the insert with Mini Glue Dots

For the insert, I stamped the same flower design in Tuxedo Black on Sweet Sugarplum card and mounted on Pink Pirouette card

I used the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Happy Wishes for the sentiment then added shadows and quickly coloured the flowers in Light Calypso Coral and Light Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends

I punched a small circle on top and added Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon tied with Basic Black Baker's Twine

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge #275

Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts in the UK with me Jay Soriano. It's time for another Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC275

For my take on the sketch I used the Oh So Eclectic & Eclectic Layers Framelits Dies Bundle with an exclusive Sale-A-Bration FREE item Happy Wishes. This versatile stamp set consist of 16 rubber stamps that allows you to create different sentiments

Pink Pirouette card base was stamped with the cross design in Emerald Envy

To get the diagonal cut on Whisper White, I aligned one corner on the cutting line of the Stampin' Trimmer and the other corner at 3cm

I clear heat embossed the big sentiment by applying Versamark ink first to the stamp then Tuxedo Black which slows down the drying time of the ink and gives you time to add clear Stampin' emboss powder

To create the ombre effect, I sponged Lemon Lime Twist then Emerald Envy. I used the Stamping Sponges to add the colours and making sure I start off the project then gradually work inwards

I die cut the leaves twice in Vellum and used Aqua Painters to add Emerald Envy wash on both sides, curling the leaves in some areas which I quite like. The flower was clear embossed, watercoloured with Lemon Lime Twist and Emerald Envy to mirror the sponged area

Before putting all the elements together I wrapped Basic Black Baker's Twine and made a triple bow. To finish up the card, I used Gold Faceted Gem for the flower centre and randomly placed Gold Glitter Flakes
