Card Idea with 3 Shimmer Paint Techniques for Paper Craft Crew Challenges #PCC305

Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It's Jay Soriano here with my card idea for the Paper Card Crew Card Sketch Challenge #PCC305

I used the upcoming Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint in 3 ways to create my card for this sketch with the Hexagons DTIEF, Daisy Punch and Bee die from Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits

I applied the Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint on the Hexagons DTIEF with sponges before running through the Big Shot

To create more contrast and cover more areas, I also sponged the gold around the edges ~ use a non porous surface to sponge the shimmer paint like a window sheet

I punched out 3 daisies in Basic Black and shaped with Paper Snips, cutting into the 3rd daisy to make it smaller. These were then sponged with the shimmer paint before adhering together

The 3rd technique I used the shimmer paint was spritzing it on the Smokey Slate cardstock. A couple of drops in a water filled spritzer is enough. You can also use isopropyl alcohol instead of water for quicker drying time

Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #PCC279 ~ Mardi Gras

Hi and thanks for stopping by today. It's Jay here with my Design Team project for the Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #PCC279 ~ Mardi Gras

After thinking for a while of what I could do with this theme, I took the image above and Mardi Gras colours to create my own handmade mask using Stampin' Up! products

Dimension: 25.5cm x 13.5cm
I used the Layering Ovals Framelits as a template to draw the main body of the mask with 1cm bridge  then hand cut inside the lines with Paper Snips. I die cut 2 of the same size ovals and a smaller oval for the eye hole in Wisteria Wonder cardstock. These were then stamped with the splatter design from Dragonfly Dreams in Perfect Plum, concentrating more on the outer edges

I die cut 4 large dragonflies and 4 small ones from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies. Cut off the body and carefully adhered the wings along the edge. I also die cut the large scallop from Layering Ovals in Garden Green and snipped in the middle for the 'brows'

For the finishing touches, I added Gold Faceted Gems and of course I had to use the Gold Glitter Flakes!!! It really didn't take that long, carefully placing the flakes individually with the help of a pick tool. You can make your own by applying a small dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the other end of your Paper-Piercing Tool then wait for it to go clear/dry
