Paper Craft Crew Challenges is a weekly challenge blog run by Pam Staples with different themes which starts on Wednesdays at 11:30am (GMT). For fun inspirations and to expand your crafting creativity, you can submit your projects by following the theme of the week

It's a Card Sketch for #PCC272  this week which you can see below with my card inspiration details

I have created a simple card using the Hostess Stamp Set called Merry Patterns for the main image. I only had limited supplies during our cardmaking and papercraft demonstration at the Basingstoke Hobbycraft when I prepared different elements for this card

Cardbase 14.8cm x 21cm

scored and folded at 10.5cm

Topper 6cm x 7.5cm

I used the deboss side of the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF) on the cardbase. I then added one of the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape across the front and a small piece of Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon (both tapered on one end using the handy and very sharp Paper Snips)

The reindeer was stamped on Whisper White card in two steps; first the outline in Tuxedo Black then the whole image in Chocolate Chip. My aligning of the stamps wasn't perfect but I quite like the added 'highlights' it created. Before adhering the topper, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the edges to add the Silver Mini Tinsel Trim which were cut to size before placing to get the crisp corners

The snowflakes were cut on Champagne Foil using the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies, one of each sizes then stacked. I then used Gold Metallic Thread for the bow in the centre

To finish the sketch, I used Pearl Basic Jewels coloured with Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends

Simple Season Like Christmas Card

We have shared a few non creative posts recently so here is a simple card using Season Like Christmas stamp set paired with Softly Falling embossing folder. It's very easy to make so it's ideal for batch making, card & a cuppa or make & take project

Whisper White cardbase 21cm x 14.8cm

scored at 10.5cm

Start by embossing the cardbase with Softly Falling TIEF on your Big Shot, leaving some space towards the spine of the card

Use Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape to hide the indentation line left from the embossing on the left hand side

Stamp the shadow of the tree in Crumb Cake near the bottom of the toper card then stamp the tree trunk in Chocolate Chip

Apply Old Olive ink on the fuller tree stamp and stamp off on scrap paper before stamping on the topper (2nd Generation technique), use Garden Green for the tree shadow and Crumb Cake for the star on top of the tree

Adhere using Stampin' Dimensionals and stamp the sentiment using Tuxedo Black. Half of the sentiment is resting on the topper and the other is raised by dimensionals

This is one of my favourite stamp set from the Seasonal Catalogue and I have used it on my entry for a team challenge with other Royals Stampers which you may have seen on our Facebook page

Combining 2 Stamps; Thankful Life & Lovely As A Tree #stampinup

Hi Everyone

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're still loving this colour combination from CAS Colours & Sketches challenge last week, as I use it again for the card I am sharing today.

The colours are Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Pool Party. I also added Crumb Cake and here is my card combining 2 stamps to make 1 image:

This stamp set uses the 2 Step Stamping Technique or 3 in this case. It consist of 3 stamps that overlays and create the bouquet of flowers so you can use different colours for each stamp. I wanted to pick up different elements of the stamps in different colours so I ended up using our Stampin' Markers too ~ Marker to Stamp technique. These flowers would normally be stamped above a vase which is included in the Thankful Life set but then I had a brain wave! Yes, it did hurt a little, LOL

Initially, I wanted to draw a face to create a Spring Goddess like image but my drawing skills have escaped me. I wasn't happy with how it turned out, so I rubbed it out. Determined to still use the already stamped image...a second brain wave hit me, which hurt a bit more than the first!

I stamped the tree from Lovely as a Tree on Stamp-a-ma-jig to see which areas will overlap on the flowers. I then re-inked the stamp with Crumb Cake, washed out these areas using Aqua Painter and dried with tissue before stamping on my project.

I stamped the sentiment and drawn the birds to hide some blemishes I made earlier. Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter were added on the tree as our Clear Wink of Stella ran out whilst going over the Melon Mambo wash! 

So not the smoothest crafting session but I carried on and finished my project. I'm glad that I did as I'm quite happy with the image. What do you think?
