Swaps for #onstage2017 ~ Card Holder

Hi Everyone

I had a great time at #onstage2017 live in Amsterdam the other week with Queen Pip, The Royal Stampers, Stampin' Stars and other independent demonstrators from across the globe!

We got to preview the new Annual Catalogue 2017-2018, share ideas by swapping projects and be inspired by presentations and display boards.

You may have already seen the Night of Navy version of my swap on my #GDP081 Colour Challenge post ~ HERE which I have updated to include a quick description of how I achieved effects on my card fronts. Below are the rest of my swaps in different colours:

I also wanted a 3D swap that is useful for demonstrators to use at parties and craft fairs, which can house small treats because who doesn't love a swap with chocolates?!?!?

Time was running out so I wanted something quick and easy when I came across Easy Origami Card Stand Tutorial on Pinterest by Chrissy Pk - see HERE

I altered the measurements to make the most of our Designer Series Papers (DSP) as well as adding the front design. Check out my video tutorial on how you can make your own card holder:

If you were there, you might have seen me shaking a pink pom pom and singing #shakeyourpompom with the rest of the Royal Stampers! Such fun but maybe annoying for some hehe.

I'm actually quite shy to approach people on my own so please forgive me if I didn't say hi. Swapping projects did give me more confidence and everyone were so lovely.

Below are the swaps and gifts I received, thanks to everyone that swapped with me:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope my swaps have inspired you today. Until next time, BYEEEEE

#GDP081 Colour Challenge

Hi Everyone

It's a Colour Challenge at Global Design Project #GDP081 which means the selected winner will come back to be a Guest Designer. It's been a busy day preparing for OnStage Live but I wanted to participate this week.

We have to use the above colours and I was doing my swaps at the time so I changed it up a little to fit the brief.

Here are my projects using heat & partial embossing, craft white refill with different colours as my Free Choice using the Watercolour Pencils

~UPDATE~
Here is how I achieved these swaps:
Stamp the sentiment with Versamark and heat emboss in gold
Stamp the flowers' outlines in Night of Navy, Melon Mambo or Memento Black
Stamp the matching inside stamps in Craft White
Dry emboss the largest Stitched Oval Framelit (I made my own platform by tracing the die on 3 thick cardboards and cut off the areas I didn't want to emboss)
Use matching Watercolour Pencils to add the shadows on the flowers
Use a paintbrush to add highlights with the Craft White Ink Refill

I added our business card at the back of each swap and wanted the staples to be part of the design

Gold Embossed with Pacific Point

White Embossed with Pacific Point

Gold embossed with Melon Mambo

White embossed with Bermuda Bay

Gold embossed with Bermuda Bay

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my projects. I will update the post when I come back form Amsterdam to let you know how I achieved these using Stampin' Up! products. It's so exciting and I need to be up in a few hours!

Until next time, BYEEEEE

Top 10 Winners' Blog Hop for Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights

Hi Everyone

Thanks for hopping along with us today and THANK YOU to all that voted for my project at Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights in March. This is my 2nd time in the Top 10 and I get to add another button on our blog, all thanks to you!

Your chosen Top 10 winners and Kylie Bertucci are highlighting All Things Thanks stamp set and have created amazing projects for you to enjoy. Please check out the full list of the talented crafters and hop along each one.

I didn't really know where to start with mine, I had so many ideas I wanted to try. Then I remembered that I had a spare succulent Barry made for our Mother's Day terrarium gift (that you can see HERE), so I made another little gift with it:

After finishing the video, it looked like it was lacking something so I added the sentiment to coincide with this blog hop.

The little gift above became the inspiration for my following projects, using All Things Thanks with the Oh So Succulent Bundle.

I used the matching framelits dies to help create depth and white embossed the sentiments on black card to make them pop.

Whisper White card layer 9.5cm x 13.8cm
Stamp the lines from Playful Backgrounds using the 2nd generation technique using Crumb Cake on the left side.
Stamp the biggest succulent outline in Melon Mambo then stamp a 2nd generation of the inner stamp in the same colour.
Die cut the succulent and take out the stamped image.
Stamp around the die cut using Perfect Plum, Tempting Turquoise, Pear Pizzazz and Pumpkin Pie.
Add the Natural Gold Trim ribbon and place the white embossed sentiment on top.
Mount on Kraft Card base

Whisper White layer 9.5cm x 13.8cm
Stick Tear & Tape 1/3 up from the bottom, (leaving the non-sticky top layer in tact) and mask the rest of the card
Stamp the lines from Playful Backgrounds using 2nd generation technique using Smoky Slate ink
Use the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies for the sentiment
Trace around the black circular card lightly to guide you where to stamp your images
Use the same technique as the previous card to build up the images behind the sentiment
Remove the top layer of the Tear & Tape and adhere the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals
Mount on Kraft Card base

Stampin' Up® products used:
All Things Thanks (clear)
Oh So Succulent Bundle
Playful Backgrounds Stamp

Check out the other projects from Kylie Bertucci and the Top 10 Winners. Make a Wish List as you hop along and don't forget to come back and shop with us if you live in United Kingdom.
