2018 Spring / Summer Catalogue Display Stampers ~ Bird Banter Part 2

Welcome to Mitosu Crafts and thanks for stopping by for a look at our OnStage display samples using the new Bird Banter Photopolymer Stamp Set from the 2018 Spring/Summer Occasion Catalogue

The birds were just singing shadow frame so Jay created this 6" x 6" U Fold Shadow Frame with the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper

Garden Green card base cut and scored like our previous creative share of this type of card HERE. The birds and flowers were stamped in Tuxedo Black and coloured with Stampin' Blends before fussy cutting

Night of Navy cardstock for the background was embossed with Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF

The DSP inserts were die cut with the Detailed Floral Thinlit, whilst the branch is from the Seasonal Layers Thinlit

The Lemon Lime Twist Paper Ribbon was coloured and snipped into to create the foreground grass but a sponged card stock is a great alternative too

The next project is Valentine's card, perfect for guys...

The Wood Textures DSP was stamped with the leaves in Soft Suede then die cut with Layering Circles and placed on the Cherry Cobbler cardbase. A smaller circle was then die cut to see the stamping inside of the 2 birds on a branch

The birds were stamped in Tuxedo Black and coloured with Basic Black Stampin' Marker to create the perfect love birds silhouette. The branch with leaves stamp design was slightly bent and masked to fit the Whisper White insert. The heart was added after in Cherry Cobbler

The sentiment is a mixture of 2 stamps 'You're the kind of friend I'd share my branch with!' and 'Thank You'. It can be achieved by masking the other words with Washi Tape or using Stampin' Marker on the words you need

The Whisper White Sheer Ribbon was coloured with Stampin' Blend and added at the bottom of the sentiment

2018 Spring/Summer Catalogue Display Stampers ~ Bird Banter Part 1

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to Mitosu Crafts. We are sharing 4 card fronts from our display samples at the Stampin' Up! OnStage local event in Solihull

The new photopolymer stamp set Bird Banter on page 42 of the Spring/Summer 2018 catalogue contains 19 stamps with 5 bird images which are great for the Stampin' Blends or Watercolour Pencils

Bird Banter #145852

Clear embossed Tree Rings stamp on Basic Black cardstock. The bird was coloured with the Stampin' Blends then fussy cut with Paper Snips. The tail was also cut then angled to sit better within the card design

Island Indigo Ombre Ribbon was adhered across the card front about 1/3 from the bottom

Wood Textures Designer Series Papers were used with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and Layering Circles Framelits Dies

The sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento then snipped and arranged diagonally

This card uses the same bird design but stamped in Basic Black Archival, coloured with the Watercolour Pencils, fussy cut and the tail was left as stamped

The new crepe Picture Perfect Paper Ribbon in Lemon Lime Twist was adhere in 6 rows with Tear & Tape then framed with Wood Textures DSP on Mini Stamping Dimensionals

Linen Thread was wrapped around the Whisper White card 3 times and the crepe paper ribbon was used to create the leaves behind the parrot; colouring the middle with Stampin' Blends

The Sheet Music Background Stamp was used for this next card, masking where the 2 budgies were going to be stamped first

The birds were coloured with Stampin' Blends before sponging the Whisper White base in Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake ink

Added a strip of Basic Gray card on the left and tassels of Silver Mini Sequin Trim and Linen Tread on Basic Black Baker's Twine with the sentiment punched with the Classic Label

The mats for this card is from the new Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Papers on page 29

Glossy Cardstock was gutted first with the square Stitched Shapes Framelit to get the topper. The background was then embossed with Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder

The birds were stamped on the square Glossy Cardstock and coloured with Stampin' Blends. The alcohol pens doesn't move or blend as well on this card as it dries too quick so you will need to colour fast

OnStage Solihull November 2017 ~ Display Board Stampers

We had such an amazing time last weekend attending OnStage in Solihull. We got to see friends, meet new people, craft and see new products from the upcoming Spring / Summer 2018 catalogue. It's always a blast attending these events as Stampin' Up! always spoil us!

We actually have been playing with a handful of new products in the last month as we were chosen to be Display Board Stampers! There were 6 demonstrators chosen (7 with Jay as a support demo). It's such an honour to take part and we loved creating samples for other demonstrators to see on the event

We received 3 stamp sets, 6"x6" Designer Series Papers, Cards & Envelopes, Ink Spots, Ribbon and 4 Punches. The brief was to create a selection of card fronts, 3D and scrapbook pages between 15-20 items. We may have gone a bit overboard as there were 2 of us and we both worked on each stamp set

You can see our display board below full of our card front ideas and scrapbook pages using different techniques

We also had 2 tables on the side with our 3D items for gift giving ideas, decorations and different type of cards that wouldn't fit on the board

The stamp sets we received are designs which we wouldn't normally have or plays to our strengths, so it was a challenge to think of how to use them. It was still fun to think of different ways of using these sets and we hope you like our samples
