Hi Everyone
Thank you for stopping by today and welcome to our World Card Making Day Blog Hop
#worldcardmakingday #wcmd2017 #wcmdbloghop |
You may have arrived from Stamp Witch Blog by Natalie Lapakko or started here at Mitosu Crafts with me Jay Soriano. You can continue the hop at the end of this post using the 'Next Blog' button or link list of all the talented demonstrators from around the world
For today's hop, I created 3 projects inspired by our recent Card Making and Papercraft Class project with the Galaxy background
Barry designed this card and as I have not tried this technique before, I joined our class attendees in creating my own Galaxy background on Watercolour Paper
Colours used for the background: Emerald Envy, Berry Burst, Night of Navy, Craft White
I finished off my background at home and used a circle mask, daubers and more Craft White for my first project below
I heat embossed the sentiment from Heart Come Home Set in copper
Tore the bottom of the watercolour paper and added a strip of Basic Gray card on top
Copper Washi from Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape
Basic Black Baker's Twine and Silver Mini Sequin Trim to create interest on the top right
Finished off with Glitter Enamel Dot
Black panels are 4cm x 7.5cm
Basic Gray Layer 13.9cm x 9.5cm
Swirly Snowflakes die cut and Sentiments Snowflakes on Whisper White
Vellum Houses from Hometown Greetings Edgelits
Copper Washi from Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape
Silver from the Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack
I then used the Cat Punch on the Galaxy Background and stacked on 3 black cards
Layering Circle Framelits and Stitched Shapes Framelits for the topper
Striped Ribbon underneath
Whisper White cardbase is embossed using Eclectic Layers Thinlits
Vellum trees and flowers are from Card Front Builder Thinlits
I still have a small piece of leftover background and will share a 4th project with you soon
