Hi Everyone
Thank you for stopping by, it's Jay here and I am sharing this project for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights. Every month Kylie Bertucci hosts blog highlights with different themes to showcase Stampin' Up! products and creations from demonstrators around the world
The theme for August is Teacher's Gift and I created this home decor / wall hanging for a teacher to have all year long. I do hope you like it as you can VOTE for your Top 5 favourites back at Kylie's blog, where you can find more papercraft ideas and inspirations with the same theme at http://bit.ly/KyliesAugustHighlightsVoteforMe
Can you believe this wreath was all done from papers and cardstock with the help of a glue gun of course?!
To create the base, I rolled copy papers measuring 10.5cm x 29.7cm to form 2 long pieces, intertwined and joined both ends to from the circular base then spritzed with Garden Green re-inker and isopropyl alcohol
I made smaller 'stems' the same way as above to hold some orchids and buds for more interest and the leaves were die cut using Old Olive cardstock
The orchids were stamped on Whisper White Lemon Lime Twist and Pacific Point, die cut with the co-ordinating Orchid Builder Framelits then coloured with Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point
To add height on the middle parts of the orchids, I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals
For the sentiment I used the Label Me Pretty Bundle using Garden Green, Tempting Turquoise and Memento Black. I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to enhance the punched label
Embellishments: Silver Mini Sequin Trim, Gold 1/4" Natural Trim, 5/8" Burlap Ribbon
