Oh, how I am still loving the new additions to our colour families. They were the inspiration for this card using the beautiful Rooted in Nature stamp set. I love how vibrant all the colours look together and my class attendees certainly had fun making this card.

For this super simple but utterly stunning card, I've masked off a section of the card and using the sponge brayer's, layered the colour to create a brilliant block of colour and then added a splatter of water and dabbed it off with a paper towel to create a little more texture.

We then used my prized possession, my stamparatus to add the tree and sentiment. Perfect positioning every time!

I love the overall effect once the faceted dots complete the project. Voila!

We hope this amazing and gorgeous project from Sara has helped inspired you to recreate your own projects like this and have a play with some fun techniques.

Home To Roost Note Cards

Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts, thank you for stopping by.

We have our cardmaking class at Hobbycraft in Basingstoke this morning and we will be making a version of the Tuxedo Fancy Fold Card as shown on our previous post HERE. If you know anyone local to Hampshire who would love to craft with us in the future, please do share our blog on any social platforms. We would really appreciate it.

So onto today's quick creative share which were actually our customer Thank You cards using the FREE Sale-A-Bration Home To Roost stamp set

We used our previous Home To Roost project HERE to inspire the design on these note cards. The Stamparatus is always a useful tool when stamping a number of designs. This stamping tool was a great help stamping the sentiment in the same place on the bottom right of the note cards. The Stamparatus also gives you the added bonus of the Hinge Step Technique which we made use on the Crumb Cake coloured reeds on the background.

The toppers were die cut first with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and we used the Stamparatus again for stamping. The rooster was stamped in Tuxedo Memento and coloured with the following Stampin' Blends: Dark Bermuda Bay, Dark Night of Navy, Dark Poppy Parade and Pumpkin Pie Combo. Other colours used were Dark Smoky Slate for the shadow and Ivory for the ground.

The Wood Textures DSP were punched with the 1/2" Circle. Then we added the Old Olive Linen Thread bow on the bottom circle to finish the notecards

Don't you just love the Stamparatus?! It really is a must have for all stampers. That's it for today, thanks again for stopping. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
