Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts, thanks for stopping by today. It's Jay here with my Design Team inspiration card for Paper Craft Crew card sketch challenge #PCC327
We received new products recently from the 2019 Spring/Summer Catalogue so I decided to create something with the Fable Friends Cling Stamp Set for the card sketch above
The Fable Friends Stamp Set includes 9 Cling Mount designs, 4 of which are of cute animals great for Easter and Baby Cards. For my project today I decided to leave the front blank so it can be personalised in the future if needed
There are 7 elements needed to follow the card sketch and I paired Fable Friends with Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies
I adhered Very Vanilla mat on the cardbase then added the Balmy Blue oval slightly towards the left of the card
A strip of Soft Sea Foam cardstock was die cut with the lattice leaves design for the vertical banner on the sketch. Placing a piece of Grapefruit Grove Organdy Ribbon (FREE SAB Item) after
I wanted these layers to show so I punched a piece of Vellum Paper with the 2" Circle. Before sticking it down, I embossed the circle with the Subtle DTIEF
The cute squirrel was stamped in Memento and coloured with Stampin' Blends; Mango Melody Combo, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light Granny Apple Green, Smoky Slate Combo and Basic Black Combo. The Color Lifter was very helpful in defining the squirrel's face and is a must have for anyone who colours with alcohol markers
TIP: To help fussy cut an image, draw around it with a light marker (I used Balmy Blue for this project) then use the outline created as a guide
On top of the Stampin' Blends, I used the White Stampin' Chalk Marker to add more highlights on the squirrel's tail. I also added more interest with the dots on the punched Vellum Paper
To finish the sketch, I added the Basic Pearls which were coloured with Dark Mango Melody Blends
