Lovely As A Tree for Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #PCC312

Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It's Jay here with my DT card idea for the latest Photo Inspiration Challenge at Paper Craft Crew #PCC312

Although Autumn has arrived, the weather has been mixed lately. It is definitely colder in the mornings on my way to work even when the sun is out!

So just like the photo with the sunshine peaking through the trees, I created this simple looking card with Lovely As A Tree stamp and a bit of sponging

I used the Stamparatus to ensure this CLEAR mount stamp is straight for the horizon then stamped with Versamark to heat emboss the tree outlines in Black

I created my own stencil by stamping the same outlines on scrap paper and cutting the horizon. The two pieces were utilised for the masking and sponging techniques on the card

I applied Balmy Blue first followed by Mango Melody for the top part. I then switched stencils to sponge the Granny Apple Green grass

On the bottom left of the card, I sponged Soft Sea Foam lightly then stamped another design from the same set

Once I was happy with the overall look, I embossed the card front with the Subtle DTIEF through the Big Shot

The sentiment comes from All Things Thanks and was punched with the Classic Label Punch

I was shocked when my sister told me that she preferred the cold weather many years ago. She continued on and said that it's easier to get warmer than to get cooler! It does make sense and Barry says the same thing also. Which season do you prefer?
