Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It's been a while since I last blogged as I went to Cyprus for my younger sister's wedding. Getting back in creating and blogging proved to be a challenge due to work and lack of inspiration. Luckily I had the Stamp Review Crew blog hop to help me out, as we showcase the Sweet Cupcake stamp set for one last project
You may have arrived here from the fabulous Kelly Kent of My Papercraft Journey if you're following the hop already. You will find the 'Next Blog' button at the end of this post to continue to Tinkerin In Ink with Tanya Boser to see more inspirations with the Sweet Cupcake set
For my card today, I also used the co-ordinating Cupcake Cutouts Framelits Dies and the card sketch from Paper Craft Crew challenge #PCC292 to help with the layout
The detailed frosting is achieved with Two-Step stamping; combining 3 individual stamps using different colours to build the final image. I used 2 new colours: Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody. I started with a 2nd Generation of Pineapple Punch followed with a 2nd Generation Mango Melody and finally another Mango Melody
I die cut the cupcake base on Gold Foil Sheet and used the side of the Paper Snips to add the lines before mounting both pieces on Vellum which was die cut with the scallop design from the Layering Circles set
I stamped the candle in Tuxedo Black and gold embossed the 2nd stamp on top. These were die cut and slotted in between the cupcake and vellum
The Very Vanilla layer was stamped with the dots design in (2nd Generation) Smokey Slate ink. I then added the Petal Pair embossed Whisper White card which was fussy cut on top then the strip of Silver Glimmer Paper
The 'wish' sentiment is 3 layers of Basic Black cardstock stacked and finished with the Fine Tip Glue to add the shine
Make sure you hop all the way around to see the crew's creative projects using the Sweet Cupcake stamp set. Don't forget to come back and order any Stampin' Up! products from Mitosu Crafts UK Online Shop or from your local Stamp Review Crew Design Team
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
