Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by today. It's Jay Soriano here with my projects for the OSAT Design Team blog hop with the theme of 'On The Red Carpet'
The team are showcasing new products from the upcoming 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue or glamorous projects. If your following the hop already, you may have arrived here from The Artful Inker by the talented Sara Levin. If you started here, make sure to visit all the Design Team's blog from the list at the end of this post
'On The Red Carpet' today from me is the exclusive early release bundle from the Share What You Love Suite
I am enjoying the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and used it again for my card idea with a different technique from a previous post - HERE
This time I applied ink on the embossing folder using the sponge brayers before running it through the Big Shot. This gave the embossed design an outline and lightly covered the Very Vanilla card base with Grapefruit Grove ink
I watercoloured in the design with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive inks to make it stand out more using the Aqua Painters. I then stamped the floral design from Make A Difference set along the bottom of the card in Grapefruit Grove
I cut into the Pearlised Doily, add a strip of Mint Macaron card before attaching the Velvet Ribbon on top. The Silver Rose, Pearlised Thread & Tranquil Tide Baker's Twine all comes from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit which comes FREE with 'A Little More, Please' Bundle and the 'Gotta Have It All Bundle'
Finished off with the fussy cut sentiment from Love What You Do set in Old Olive on Very Vanilla card adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals
My 2nd project today is this triangular Mother's Day gift box idea which folds flat for easy storage. It measures 4 1/4" x 2" x 1 3/4" (without the decorations) starting with an 8" x 8" cardstock
Mother's Day in the UK was back in March but I know most of you have it this month. It's also a good time to use the gorgeous letters from Make A Difference set and they are sooo easy to align! I decorated the gift box using elements from the card
This box was a challenge as I originally seen it on Pinterest without guidelines or measurements. I had to google Pythagoras' theorem to work out the triangles! Even then the measurements were hard to achieve with the score board. In the end, I actually used the Grid Paper to help with the measurements and am quite happy with the result
I am honoured to be chosen April's Ultimate Designer Winner at Papercraft Business Challenge with my last month's OSAT projects - HERE
I am entering these projects to
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
