Projects from our August Card Making Class in Basingstoke

Hi Everyone

Thanks for stopping by. For a little break from our Christmas projects, we are sharing the cards we made with our Basingstoke Craft Group last month. We used the Delightful Daisy Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Daisy Punch Bundle for all 3 cards

Berry Burst Cardstock 14.9cm x 21cm

Black mat 14.4cm x 10cm

Color Theory DSP 13.9cm x 9.5cm

Whisper White layer 12.9cm x 8.5cm

Use daubers to colour the centre and tips of the punched daisy before shaping. The Color Theory DSP was also used to cut the Happy Birthday sentiment. You can also try and achieve the same ombre look with the sponge brayers

Black Cardbase 21cm x 14.9cm

Lemon Lime Twist mat 10cm x 14.4cm

Watercolour Paper 9.5cm x 13.9cm

This one is fairly easy, stamp the reeds on the bottom first before working on the sentiment focus. Using Aqua Painters, apply Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist in the middle, creating a pool of water first then letting the colours blend together. Stamp the sentiment after the paper has dried in Basic Black Archival Ink

We used another DSP for our 3rd project as our personal challenge is to use more of them! The Whisper White layer was stamped in Crushed Curry ink then punched. A Crush Curry card was then stamped and placed at the back whilst the punch daisy was used as a topper to complete the flower

Top 10 Winners Blog Hop for Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights

Welcome to the Top 10 Winners Blog Hop for Kylie Bertucci's International Stampin' Up! Highlights

 You are currently at Mitosu Crafts with me Jay Soriano from the UK and I am so thankful to everyone that voted last month for my Climbing Orchid Wreath which enabled me to join the hop today

The theme is Teacher's Gifts and I wanted to create something that welcomed the new school year as kids go back to school now. I took inspiration from my highlight project using the Climbing Orchid Stamp Set and Orchid Builder Thinlits Bundle. Barry is making boxes like crazy lately and he recently made a Kirigami Box which I thought was perfect for my project!

I found the original pin that Barry used from Sharon Cheng and I used the same measurements but altering the height of the middle pot for easy closing. The hole on the top was made using the 1" Circle Punch and the Lemon Lime Twist Finely Woven Ribbon keeps the box closed

Like my original decor, I rolled copy papers for the stems then coloured with Garden Green Ink Refill, this time the Isopropyl Alcohol was in an Aqua Painter

I added wire inside for extra support and easy positioning

This Orchid in a Kirigami Box opens up and could be used as a desk tidy as well. Wouldn't this look lovely on a teacher's desk to welcome them every morning?!

The double bow ribbon is held by glue dots but a velcro dot would even be better for easy repositioning to decorate the opened box

Recent Class Projects with Jar of Love #stampinup #createwithmitosu

Thank you for stopping by today. We are sharing the projects we designed for our Card Making and Papercraft class in Basingstoke, Hampshire UK.

We used the Jar of Love Photopolymer Stamp Set ~ 141587 with the matching Everyday Jars Framelits Dies ~ 141490 along with other current Stampin' Up! products which are available to order from our Online Shop

The next one uses Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper ~ 144131 for the mat and a bit of Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP ~ 144125. These papers are great for quick and easy cards as you can use them for the background. The attendees did have to finish constructing this card at home as we ran out of time. We got them to take a photo of the card once all the stamping and die cutting were done.

We did a bit of watercoloring with the small jar on this card using Aqua Painters ~ 103954 on Watercolour Paper ~ 122959. We also showed the attendees how to extend the Layering Squares Framelits Dies ~ 141708 and create a rectangular card for the topper.
