Happy Blooming Birthday

Hi All

Time for another post, Thanks for stopping by & i hope you like and get some inspiration from what you see.

Todays card is made using the Flower Patch stamp set. Ive made my own DSP for the background, which I'm really into at the moment. I've stamped several of the stamps from this set in several colours randomly and then die cut the circle in the top centre. Ive also die cut a smaller circle for the sentiment.

TOP TIP If you keep the die in place and then ink over the die you can achieve the crisp white edge.

The centre parts of the flowers have been stamped in versa mark ink and then covered with red embossing powder. I love this technique.

To finish I've layered the whole piece onto blackberry Bliss card stock and raised the sentiment with dimensional pads.

I was quite happy with how this turned out.

Please feel free to leave a comment

Thank you

Barry

You are Amazingly Amazing

Hi Everyone

Thanks for stopping by our blog today. Todays creation is a card I've made using the Flower Patch & Painted petals stamp sets from Stampin Up!

I'm into trying to make my own backgrounds and have only used one stamp to create this one. The sentiment is from the Painted Petals stamp set along with the strips.

The flower patch set is one of my favs at the moment especially when used with the coordinating dies. Its makes it so much easier to cut out rather than using scissors.

Anyway I hope you like it. You can find a list of products used below.

Thanks

Barry

Mitosu Crafts Stampin' Flower Patch

Hi All

Here is a simple card I made using the Stamping Up! Flower Patch stamp set. I have incorporated the stamp set with the Lyra Gemini die from Sue Wilson.
The flowers and leaves have been arranged onto the red card and layered using the dimensional pads from Stamping Up! to give it some depth and interest.
For extra interest I have stamped the sentiment using versamark and embossed with a red embossing powder.

Thank you for looking

Mitosu Crafts Stampin' Flower Patch with Flower Fair Framelits Dies

Hi All

I wanted to share what I made with the topper I posted on Facebook using the Flower Patch stamps set and the Flower Fair framelits dies. The topper came about after seeing Anna Marie's demo at Ally Pally and I wanted to put my stampin' spin on it using only Stampin' Up! products.

It's an A6 card and thanks to Queen Pip for the mat & layer's dimensions which I used for this (14.9cm x 10cm & 14.4cm x 9.5cm).

I stamped the flowers and leaves using the 2014-2016 In Colours Stampin' Pads and die cut with our Big Shot. I moulded the flowers using a piercing tool & mat before arranging the smaller flowers on top of the largest flower with glue.

Tip: snip up to the stamped image of the centre flower to help shape it better.

I also used a bit of gauze to add a bit of texture. I'm sure everyone's got some in their first aid kit at home - ours permanently lives in our flower making box! If not, use a bit of baker's twine tied in a knot or a bow.

For the mat, I used our brayer to colour coordinate with the flowers; so if you don't have matching card stock, use ink pads with daubers or sponges, or write markers to colour the edges. I've only used our brayer twice and it's good that the middle is hidden. I will be practising using our brayer by making more mats like this :)

For the layer, I stamped the sentiment before embossing the card with the trellis embossing folder (which came with the Big Shot Starter Kit). I used dimensional pads to mat & layer, then used glue to stick the topper.

I was also cutting around the flower die cuts and made a butterfly! I'm sure most will have a butterfly  punch or a die already but I wanted to see what else I could do with what I had and quite pleased with the result.
