Heat Embossed Flower from Botanical Builder

Hi All

Today I am sharing a card I am entering to the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #184 using the Botanical Builder dies.

The embossed flower came about after creating brooches for our swaps with other demonstrators at a recent training event. Each layer were pressed on Versamark Pad, coated with the Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder.

For this card, I made the embossed flower using Night of Navy and Very Vanilla card stock and adding Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder in the centre.

Layering Circle framelits for the scalloped aperture and another was used as a stencil to achieve the Copper embossed circle border. Mint Macaron card embossed with Petal Burst Embossing Folder underneath.

We don't have the Copper Metallic Thread so I used natural fibres from our stash for the leaves. They were made using the same method as the flower then cut in to shape.

Hope you like the card and thank you for stopping by

Jay

  2. That's a great way to make the leaves out of "metallic thread". The flower is so inventive too. Thanks for joining us at CAS Colours & Sketches again this week. Liz x
