Combining 2 Stamps; Thankful Life & Lovely As A Tree #stampinup

Hi Everyone

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're still loving this colour combination from CAS Colours & Sketches challenge last week, as I use it again for the card I am sharing today.

The colours are Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Pool Party. I also added Crumb Cake and here is my card combining 2 stamps to make 1 image:

This stamp set uses the 2 Step Stamping Technique or 3 in this case. It consist of 3 stamps that overlays and create the bouquet of flowers so you can use different colours for each stamp. I wanted to pick up different elements of the stamps in different colours so I ended up using our Stampin' Markers too ~ Marker to Stamp technique. These flowers would normally be stamped above a vase which is included in the Thankful Life set but then I had a brain wave! Yes, it did hurt a little, LOL

Initially, I wanted to draw a face to create a Spring Goddess like image but my drawing skills have escaped me. I wasn't happy with how it turned out, so I rubbed it out. Determined to still use the already stamped image...a second brain wave hit me, which hurt a bit more than the first!

I stamped the tree from Lovely as a Tree on Stamp-a-ma-jig to see which areas will overlap on the flowers. I then re-inked the stamp with Crumb Cake, washed out these areas using Aqua Painter and dried with tissue before stamping on my project.

I stamped the sentiment and drawn the birds to hide some blemishes I made earlier. Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter were added on the tree as our Clear Wink of Stella ran out whilst going over the Melon Mambo wash! 

So not the smoothest crafting session but I carried on and finished my project. I'm glad that I did as I'm quite happy with the image. What do you think?
