Colour Inkspiration Entry with NEW Daisy Delight Set #stampinup

Hi Everyone

Thanks for stopping by today. As mentioned on my previous post, I created 2 more projects for the Colour Inkspiration #CI09 challenge.

Here is my 2nd challenge entry:

There's not much stamping on this one but I really enjoyed sponging to create this scene. I used the new Daisy Delight set, available from June 1st for the sentiment and reeds, I guess.

Sahara Sand base card 10.5cm x 14.8cm

Black mat 10cm x 14.3cm

Use Sponge Brayer to apply Pool Party on the top 3/4 of Whisper White card 9.5cm x 13.8cm

Add Sahara Sand on the bottom 1/3 of the card

Sponge Dapper Denim on the edges

To create streaks of light in the sky and sea, use copy paper to mask certain areas and apply ink with Stamping Sponges

Re apply Pool Party on the highlights and Memento Black on the top 3/4 of the card

Stamp the reeds in Memento and Cherry Cobbler

Stamp the sentiment with Crumb Cake

My sponging isn't as smooth but it adds to the dramatic secene. I had to restrain myself to stop, I could have dontinued building the scene even more with Craft White ink.

After making this card, I had another idea using more of the Daisy Delight stamps, sponging and masking technique. Check back later tonight to see it.
